OUR MISSION
Saint Katharine Drexel Food Pantry is an outreach ministry located at the Catholic Social Services building in Chester, PA. Our address is 130 East 7th Street. The pantry is a resource of hope and comfort for local residents and families in need.
Our ministry is rooted in the Gospel mandate of Love for one another. We proudly serve the local community with compassion, love, joy and hope. We welcome those who are in need regardless of religious affiliation or belief. Our food distribution nourishes while our service brings dignity and unites us in our common humanity.

The "Friends of St. Katharine Drexel" is our designation for those individuals who serve outside our parish community and who graciously support us through monthly recurring donations. Kindly consider joining our mission of growing St. Katharine Drexel Food Pantry into a national leader among Urban parishes serving economically depressed areas with multi-ethnic parishioners.
Our pantry entrance is located to the left of the Catholic Social Services entrance. The food pantry is open: Monday from 9:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. for donations. Calling ahead is required and prepares us for your arrival. We open our doors for food distribution on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 A.M. to 11:45 A.M. (excluding all major holidays).
God's Providence is very visible through the goodness and generosity of Parishes, Groups, Schools, Businesses, and Individuals like you. We, the staff and volunteers, are committed to collect and distribute food to those in need.

The food cupboard of the St. Katharine Drexel Service Community is an outreach ministry of St. Katharine Drexel Roman Catholic Church in Chester and honoring the vision of Sr. Barbara Tickner, I.H.M. and countless others driven to serve Christ in Love of their neighbor.
On a daily basis, the dedicated staff of paid and volunteer personnel strive to provide loving, compassionate, dedicated support to those in need within the Chester, PA community. It is our purpose to provide the basic needs to help make people's lives more livable while providing hope towards improving their circumstances.
We don't want our brothers and sisters remaining in poverty or marginalized. Our pantry works to remove one of many barriers toward self-sustainability and self-improvement. With clothes on their backs, food in the home and support from the community; hope is gradually restored, and confidence reignited.
